Gothic style church with nave, narrow transepts and chancel. Large square tower with pointed pinnacles. South and West side entrances with buttresses and pointed pinnacles. Pitched slate roof. Sandstone dressing. Tardree stone dressings round ground floor.

    Basalt stonework is in good condition but some sandstone detailing shows evidence of deterioration with scaling, flaking and granular disintegration resulting in surface roughening and loss of architectural detail.
