Large L-shaped, two storey range with an octagonal tower and square turrets. Decorated with machicolations and crenellations. Mix of Gothic and Tudor window styles. Sandstone and basalt dressing with basalt walls. Modern school building built onto rear.

    Basalt stonework is in good condition but some sandstone detailing shows evidence of surface deterioration with scaling, flaking and granular disintegration resulting in loss of architectural detail.
