Gothic style nave church fronted by square tower at West end with stone spire. Apse ended chancel. South side has 4 full height cross-gables of equal size with entrance at West end. Roughcast on North side with modern extension.

    Basalt is in good condition but some sandstone elements show evidence of deterioration through loss of surface material.
