Gothic style church. Square tower with side porch entrance leading onto nave. Later North/South transepts and chancel. Pitched slate roof. Tower has corner pinnacles.

    Basalt is in good condition but there is some limited evidence of sandstone detailing deterioration with scaling, flaking and granular disintegration
