Downpatrick Loop Station, Market Street, Downpatrick, BT30 6LZ

Classical style 3 bay station. Advanced central bay, pedimented, with square-topped door with light. One rounded arch window with hood-mould on either side. Pitched slate roof. One-room, flat-roofed section attached to each end. Note: this is not the original station building (demolished 1972), but the manager’s house from the old gasworks which was dismantled and re-built on the current site. Burnt out in 2002 and since restored
