Donaghmore Cross, Donaghmore
County Tyrone

The cross is a composite, made up of parts of 2 different crosses. It is said to have been thrown down in 17th Century & re-erected in the 18th. On the West side are the following scenes: a mounted horseman, Adam & Eve, Cain & Abel & the Sacrifice of Isaac. On the East side are the Annunciation to the Shepherds, the Adoration of the Magi, the Baptism, the Miracle at Cana, the Multiplication of Loaves & Fishes, the Arrest & the Crucifixion. Other decoration includes geometric motifs seen on other Ulster crosses. It may be 10th Century
