Carrara Marble

Carrara Marble is Tertiary in age (around 60 million years old) and it is still actively quarried near Carrara, Tuscany, Italy where it has been quarried since Roman times. Carrara Marble ranges from pure white to blue-grey and has been an extremely popular decorative stone for centuries, particularly for sculptures and statues (including Michaelangelo’s David).
