Polished Red Granite

‘Polished Red Granite’ is a general term covering a variety of imported pink to red coloured granites commonly used as polished stone in the United Kingdom for decorative purposes. This includes Balmoral Red Granites from Finland, Peterhead Granite from Scotland and a variety of red granites from Sweden and elsewhere.

Many of these granites are similar in appearance and source of origin can sometimes be difficult to determine unless historical records are present that name the quarry source.
