Peakmoor Sandstone

Peakmoor Sandstone is a Millstone Grit sandstone, Carboniferous in age (354 to 290 million years old) and still actively quarried near Matlock, Derbyshire. It is a buff to pink,  fine to medium grained sandstone which has a porosity of approximately 16%. It is used throughout the United Kingdom as stone replacement and on new builds
