All Saints Church/Loughguile Parish Church

Gothic style consisting of 3 bay nave and 3 tall lancets with hood-moulds. Angled cill course and corner buttresses. North and South transepts. Projecting chancel. Ashlar battered plinth. Bell gable at West end above large gabled porch with corner buttresses. Side recessed pointed arch doorway. Pitched slate roof. Sandstone painted brown making identification difficult.

    Basalt is in good condition but some sandstone dressing elements show evidence of discoloration and deterioration through loss of surface material through granular disintegration.

    Stage 1 – A façade in this condition will only require localised remedial treatment concentrating on individual blocks. Stage 1 classification may also indicate that no intervention is needed with only periodic re-assessment of the façade is recommended.
