Gothic style church consisting of nave, octagonal chancel, lean-to aisle, and corner square tower with corner buttresses. Stone gabled porch entrance with carved recessed entrance and columns. Side chapel on North side, vestry, and choir stall. Pitched slate roof.

    Basalt is in good condition but some sandstone dressing elements show evidence of deterioration through loss of surface material through granular disintegration.
