Allied Irish Bank

Georgian 3 storey, 5 bay town house with stone front façade. Porch with attached pairs of Ionic columns. Brick painted window surrounds, stone courses also painted. Carriage arch to side with Tardree stone dressing painted at front. The building became a bank in 1834.

    Basalt stonework is in good condition with no evidence of surface deterioration. Rhyolite detailing exhibits some evidence of surface deterioration and disintegration.

    Stage 1 – A façade in this condition will only require localised remedial treatment concentrating on individual blocks. Stage 1 classification may also indicate that no intervention is needed with only periodic re-assessment of the façade is recommended.
