Chapel of the Resurrection, Innisfayle Park

Decorated Gothic style, originally a mortuary chapel of the Donegall family. Circular side tower with conical slate roof. Nave is 4 bays with apsidal end and very tall. Mortuary underneath nave floor. Now derelict.

    Sandstone blockwork is in reasonable condition with some block deterioration and surface loss through scaling, flaking and granular disintegration. Poor maintenance poses the greatest risk to the future of this structure.
  • Condition Assessment (QUB):
    Stage 3 – Significant intervention is required with up to 50% of the total façade surface showing evidence of deterioration. Appropriate intervention should prolong the life expectancy of the structure.
