Part of Crumlin Road Gaol complex. Two storey Italianate style gate lodge with recessed centre section and 2 bays either side. Square-topped sash windows with keystones, balustrade at top.
Recessed central section consists of 4 large Tuscan columns, broken up by vermiculated square blocks. Central 2 columns have been rendered together to form a modern rectangular entrance. Blind rounded arches behind outer columns.

Stonework Condition:Primary stone is in good condition with no significant evidence of deterioration. Sandstone shows some evidence of surface loss primarily through granular disintegration and occasional flaking.

Condition Assessment (QUB):Stage 2 – Section specific remedial action is required but the extent of intervention should be limited because of the lack of distant involvement within façade boundaries.
