Gate Lodge and Screen, Stormont Estate

Two large central limestone pillars with corner finials, central urn and carved panel cornice. Three slightly smaller pillars on either side, same style with lanterns instead of urns. Gate lodge at East side in Neo-Classical style built in limestone on a granite plinth.

    Surface dissolution of limestone is reasonably heavy in places, with fossils sitting proud of the surface and occasionally heavy pitting.

    Stage 2 – Section specific remedial action is required but the extent of intervention should be limited because of the lack of distant involvement within façade boundaries.
