Venetian Renaissance palazzo style, 3 storey building with basement, in chamfered sandstone on a limestone plinth, rounded at corners. Central projecting section, rounded arch windows with keystones on all floors. Built for Scottish Amicable Life Assurance Company, later the Heyn Shipping Company.

Stonework Condition:Sandstone is in good condition with occasional pitting and iron staining only, some flaking and scaling of limestone dressing.
