Mountpottinger Methodist Church

Victorian-Gothic red-brick church with stone dressings. Main gable has a double entrance with recessed trefoil doorways, 3 small pillars in centre and either side. Double lancet window either side of doorway with hood-mould to match door surround. Large triple lancet window with tracery above doors, and single lancet either side. Buttresses have pyramidal caps.

    Sandstone blockwork is in reasonable condition but with some evidence of isolated stone block deterioration and surface loss through scaling, flaking and granular disintegration.

    Stage 2 – Section specific remedial action is required but the extent of intervention should be limited because of the lack of distant involvement within façade boundaries.
