St. Clement’s COI

Tudor-Gothic style red-brick church with stone dressing, set on a corner. Short tower on East face with large Tudoresque doorway at base, rectangular windows and 2 Tudoresque windows above. Top lightly castellated with gargoyles on corners.

    Sandstone is generally in good condition but deterioration is present at the corners and edges of blocks due to the use of hard cement mortar.

    Stage 1 – A façade in this condition will only require localised remedial treatment concentrating on individual blocks. Stage 1 classification may also indicate that no intervention is needed with only periodic re-assessment of the façade is recommended.
