Church of St. Patrick

Gothic style church consisting of nave, North/South transept and projecting chancel. Entrance is a double gabled roof-height enclosed porch and choir vestry. 3 stage square tower at West end, crenellated with corner pinnacles. Pitched slate roof. Sandstone plinth, large tooled ashlar blocks. Ashlar sandstone dressing- quoins, courses and window dressing.

    Sandstone blockwork is in reasonable condition but with some evidence of isolated stone block deterioration and surface loss through scaling, flaking and granular disintegration.

    Stage 1 – A façade in this condition will only require localised remedial treatment concentrating on individual blocks. Stage 1 classification may also indicate that no intervention is needed with only periodic re-assessment of the façade is recommended.
