Rainey-Goddard Monument

Rectangular mausoleum in a Classical style. Central Kilkenny Limestone plaques to each face with 1 pilaster, and one Doric column either side. Roof tapers up towards an urn finial with pyramidal corner pinnacles.

    Sandstone blockwork is in reasonable condition but with some evidence of isolated stone block deterioration and surface loss through flaking and granular disintegration.
  • Condition Assessment (QUB):
    Stage 1 – A façade in this condition will only require localised remedial treatment concentrating on individual blocks. Stage 1 classification may also indicate that no intervention is needed with only periodic re-assessment of the façade is recommended.
