Wallace Memorial

Tall square Gothic memorial set on a granite plinth upon a set of large octagonal granite steps. Polished marble columns set at each corner of the memorial with a tall stone pinnacle on top. Memorial plaque on North side.

    Granite plinth is in good condition but sandstone shows some evidence of surface roughening and isolated deterioration primarily through granular disintegration and flaking with a resultant loss of architectural definition in places. Some evidence of vandalism-related damage.

    Stage 2 – Section specific remedial action is required but the extent of intervention should be limited because of the lack of distant involvement within façade boundaries.
